The Buggles - Video Killed the Radio Star (1979)
Written by Trevor Horn, Geoff Downes and Bruce Woolley, the latter whom was not a member of The Buggles. Though it only reached #40 in the US, it topped the UK chart and reached #6 in Canada

Bruce Woolley and the Camera Club - Video Killed the Radio Star (1979)
Woolley released his version first, and it reached #18 in Canada (was also a hit in several parts of Europe, but I cannot find any chart info on that). Thomas Dolby was keyboardist for The Camera Club.
