Subject: Classic/Popular Films You Didn't Care For
Written By: Mat1991 on 02/20/11 at 1:35 am
What are some films considered to be classic - or simply very popular - that you didn't care for?
One movie I honestly didn't really care for was Casablanca. I was bored and confused throughout pretty much the entire movie. I have only seen it once, though, so maybe I might give it another chance someday.
Another film was Napoleon Dynamite. Unlike the aforementioned movie, I've seen this movie several times and didn't care for it once. It just bored the crap out of me each time I watched it. Plus, it had very little plot.

One that really stands out in my mind is Jerry Maguire. I don't know what all that hype was about! :P

Yeah, that was pretty much my opinion. Plus, that stupid "The human head weighs 8 pounds" line that everyone thought was hilarious ::)

It was before Tom Cruise jumped on Oprah's couch. That's what the hype is about! :(

I thought part 6 was gonna suck, but it turned out okay! Pretty good for a 6th entry. :o

I think because I've always thought 5 should have ended with the Death of Rocky I was not really happy that there was a 6th installment let alone it's content....

See why I don't watch too many movies. I may be too harsh a critic.

Agreed! I should also point out that I think Leonardo DiCaprio is AWFUL. I don't believe him in any character and he's totally overrated imho!

Ditto! I did see it once but wasn't all that impressed with it. People all around seemed to love it...but not me. :-\\

I do not care for it either, it was completely wrong in some of the major facts of the true events that occur in the true event of that disaster.

I agree almost 100%. The only think I liked Leo in was What's Eating Gilbert Grape. He did such a good job, I thought they really hired a mentally challenged person for the part.
After that, anything connected to his name makes me run the other direction. Can't stand him.

I watched Titanic, and thought it was about as exciting as a Calculus Test. In fact, I'd gladly write a Calculus Test than have to watch Titanic again.
The best part of Titanic was the end credits.

I agree that he was good in What's Eating Gilbert Grape, but if that's the best we can say of him after all of his films, it's pretty bad. I just don't get the hoopla.

I've said it before and I'll say it every time. The film, Titanic, was flawed from the get go. The moment Rose called and asked if they found that diamond that she knew was in her pocket the whole time made for false reason to advance the storyline. Had she just called and said I was on the ship can I come to you and tell you my story then could've stuck with it but to build a mystery around a fake premise....that pissed me off.
Also, the Titanic stuff was the story being told from Rose's POV yet it included scenes that took place away from Rose so how could she possibly relay stories of something she never witnessed? ::)
