There are some album jackets that are so famous that EVERYONE knows exactly what album it is just by the cover. Even if you have never listened to the album you KNOW it. Here are a few of them:

Yup. I think they only sold it for ONE DAY and it got so many complaints they pulled them. Some had an alternative cover placed over the original and others just got a new jacket all together.

Interesting fact or two...when this picture was unveiled in Britain (not as a LP cover, but as publicity shots), it created not a murmur of protest...
Neither did John's 'more popular than Jesus' interview from about the same time...
Which proves what a bunch of heathens we were! :D
