Subject: Movie quotes that you use in real life.

What movie quotes do you find, yourself using in real life?
Unfortunately, here are the ones, I have to admit, that I embarrassingly use in real life!
;D
10) "Son, your ego is writing checks your body can't cash." - Top Gun
9) "You're gonna need a bigger boat." - Jaws
8) "I have a bad feeling about this." - Any Star Wars film.
7) "There can only be one!" - Highlander
6) "Our Lady of Blessed Acceleration, don't fail us now." - Blue Brothers
5) "You killed my father. Prepare to die." - Princess Bride
4) "Snakes, why did it have to be snakes?" - Raiders of the Lost Ark
3) "What kind of Mickey Mouse team would name their team the ducks?" - Space Jam
2) "Do or do not. There is no try." - Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
1) "I getting too old for this ****." - Lethal Weapon

I can't imagine how you would use any of those quotes in everyday conversations, except for maybe #1, #8 and #10...

Every time I drive to Bev. Hills I always quote Pretty Woman "Beverly Hills is down the hill"
I also say "Everybody's gotta dream. What's your dream?" also from Pretty Woman
"Goonies never say die!"
and I say "I wipe my own ass. I WIPE MY OWN ASS!!!" - Big Daddy I say that a lot... there's no real context for it I just like saying it! :D

Most of those mentioned plus...
"F*bleep*k you, you f*blooping*g f*blip*k!"
- Blue Velvet
"You f*bleep*ed up! You trusted us!"
"Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?"
- Animal House
"I picked the wrong day to quit (insert whatever vice seems most appropriate here)"
- Airplane
""I'm shocked, SHOCKED, to find that (whatever) is going on in here!"
- Casablanca
"“I mean, say what you like about the tenets of (whatever), Dude, at least it’s an ethos"
- The Big Lebowski
"Oh my God, the quaterback IS toast!"
- Die Hard, used this once back in the early 90s when some guy passed me, spun out 100 yards ahead of me, and I spontaneously blurted it out at the moment of impact. Swerve around wreck, hit the shoulder, confirmed no injuries in either of the two cars that bought it, and called it in...
"Come out to the coast, we'll get together, have a few laughs..."
- Die Hard, about half an hour later, statements on record, and back on the road...
"Don't take life too seriously. You'll never get out of it alive."
- Bugs Bunny, any time anyone questions my inappropriate sense of humor. Happens more often than you might think.

I also find myself saying this from time to time....
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when my fear is gone I will turn and face fear's path, and only I will remain."

"Welcome to the party, pal!" - Bruce Willis, Die Hard
"I'd rather stick needles in my eyes" - Jack Nicholson, Terms of Endearment
"Look! Defenseless babies" - Chevy Chase, Fletch
Whenever I am driving in a traffic circle, I quote Chevy Chase from European Vacation: "Look, Big Ben and Parliament"
Whenever I mention my car, I reference Danny DeVito in Ruthless People: "It just keeps getting older and sicker ... and older ... and sicker!"

I thought of two more movie quotes that I say on a regular basis. Both are from Pulp Fiction.
"Bacon tastes good. Pork Chops taste gooood."
This explains why I can love pigs so much and still eat them.
And whenever my husband is really pissing me off, I say to him:
"I'm a mushroom-cloud-layin' muthaf@ck%r, muthaf@ck%r!"
And he knows it's time to back slowly away.

I have a friend who likes to use that quote, too. Another one she used was something I thought was so funny. Her son's name is Lucas. One time when he was about 4 or 5, he managed to get himself stuck in the webbing of an outdoor chair. She looked at him and to encourage him to get himself unstuck, she said, "Use the force, Luc." I just cracked up.

"Tis but a scratch" -- Monty Python and the Holy Grail

"I can't believe it . . . I'm losin' to a rug" -- Aladdin
"Y'all wan' buy some drugs?" -- Pineapple Express

I don't use it but love these lines in "Bull Durham", the all time best baseball movie ever
Crash Davis to Annie Savoy after Annie askes, "What do you believe in then?"
"Well, I believe in the soul. The c**k. The p***y. The small of a woman's back. The hanging curveball. High fiber. Good scotch. That the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a Constitution Amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas eve. And I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days...Goodnight."
One I do still try to use but as the years go by kinda tough to do
"When you give up your dream, you die." Flashdance
These days it's more apt to be,
"I'm to old for this sh*t" Lethal Weapon
Of course roadtrips back in the youth were started with,
"We're on a mission from God." Blues Brothers
I'll finish up with a few lines from one of my favorite films of all time, "St Elmo's Fire"
Kirby: "There are several quintessential moments in a man's life: losing his virginity, getting married, becoming a father, and having the right girl smile at you."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kirby: You are just pissed off and bitter because you have not had sex in... how long? What is it... a year... maybe two? Refresh my memory please, Kevin. Haven't you heard of the sexual revolution?
Kevin: Who won, huh? Nobody. Used to be sex was the only free thing, No longer. Alimony... palimony... it's all financial. Love is an illusion.
Kirby: It's the only illusion that counts, my friend.
Kevin: Says who?
Kirby: Anyone who's been in love.
Kevin: Love sucks.
Kirby: So does your attitude.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Billy: Jules, y'know, honey... this isn't real. You know what it is? It's St. Elmo's Fire. Electric flashes of light that appear in dark skies out of nowhere. Sailors would guide entire journeys by it, but the joke was on them... there was no fire. There wasn't even a St. Elmo. They made it up. They made it up because they thought they needed it to keep them going when times got tough, just like you're making up all of this. We're all going through this. It's our time at the edge.

I think the movie that I quote the very most in my daily life is Tommy Boy. In fact, until I started looking through some of the quotes from the movie, I had no idea how much I actually quote it. It came out during my Jr. year in high school, and has always just made me laugh SO hard. It still makes me laugh out loud.
Tommy: I l-left a message.
Richard Hayden: A message? What number did you call?
Tommy: Two, four, niner, five, six, seven...
Richard Hayden: I can't hear you, you're trailing off and did I catch a niner in there? Were you calling from a walkie-talkie?
Tommy: No, it was cordless.
Richard Hayden: You know what? Don't. Not here, not now.
Richard Hayden: No way that just happened. My car is completely destroyed.
Tommy: I swear I've seen a lot of stuff in my life, but that... was... *awesome*.
Tommy: ... but, sorry about your car, man. That... That sucks.
Richard Hayden: Are you talking?
Tommy: Shut up, Richard.
Tommy: Brothers don't shake hands. Brothers gotta hug.
Richard Hayden: And... what about seat belts? To fasten, take the little end and stick it in the big end and... you know what? If you guys don't know how to use a seatbelt, just ring your call button and Tommy will come back there and hit you on the head with a tack hammer because you are a retard.
Tommy: Fat guy in a little coat. / Fat guy in a little coat.
Tommy: Richard, do I have a mark on my face? It really hurts.
Richard Hayden: Nope, nothing. I thought I hit you on the shoulder.
Tommy: My shoulder doesn't hurt very much, but my face does.
Tommy: Right here. Not here or here so much. Right here.
Richard Hayden: Nope. Ship shape! Waitress, can I get that shrimp cocktail I saw in the glass case?
Helen: Yep. And you, what can I get
Helen: Jesus, what happened to your face?

"I'm Sure" "Totally" "Gnarly" "Grody"--Valley Girl. (yup, i actually say that mess)
Calling a person Pinhead --Mr. Big in Moonwalker.
"Mercy Sakes!" --Anne of Green Gables. I love using this one, it makes me feel like more sphoisticated! LOL!

Oh man... I forgot... I totally, just to see if I could get away with it.... wrote in a college paper that
Hamlet was tormented by his mother's incestuous relationship with his uncle. :D
I can't believe it worked...I got an A on the paper and for some reason the prof- never corrected the fact that the relationship technically wasn't an incestuous one because she was sleeping with her brother-in-law not her brother... ::)
No way..that is freaking hilarious. ;D
I sometimes use this quote too, in real life!
"I want my two dollars!"
;D
Me too. My sister and I often answer each others calls with "Curtis, are you dead?"

My favorite quote, from Valley Girl, (which I never use.... ;D) is....
"That techno-rock you guys listen to is gutless."

I actually used this quote yesterday, while out with my friends...
" No shirt, no shoes..."
"No dice! Ohhhh."
"Right. Learn it. Know it. Live it. "

Speaking of which, I had a science teacher, who reminds of Mr. Hand, in that he took teaching, too seriously....
;D
Mr. Reguly, my junior high teacher, would actually break your pencil, in half in front of the class, if he caught you anything, other than a pen.
I actually had my pencil, broken in unfortunately!
;D
And also, if he wrote on the chalk board, he excepted you to write also.
Another weird teacher (actually teacher/coach) in high school, would introduce his self as Commander Quarrel, while giving reports about the latest football match, while on the intercom.
;D

Also me and one of my friends, pretty much have a nickname, for over pretentious hipsters, which we got from Denis Leary...
"Haiku mother*****."

Nope.
hmm for some reason I'd attributed it to a 70's commercial similar to "Time to make the donuts" and "Please, don't squeeze the charmin"
guess my head is so full of pop culture its all just starting to run together.... ;D

Let's see...
"Yo Isaac stroke it a couple of time for me Cuzzin! And don't forget to stick a pillow up her *ss, she like that!" Prince in Under the Cherry Moon. When said at the right moment, milk will shoot out of my boyfriend's nose. ;D
"Honey don't you know I'll SLAP THA WAVES OUT YO HEAD?" Jerome Benton--UTCM.
"Prince? That skinny mofo--the actual words have to be said--with the high voice" Prince in Sign of the Times. (I quote him alot, don't i?)
"Are you OUTSIDE your mind?" Denzel in Remember the Titans..
"Go to hell, sit on a red hot coal and wait for me!" Bill Cosby at the end of Ghost Dad.
"Poor little Tink-Tink" Katt Williams... :o I can't remember the name of the show!
And one of my personal faves:
"THEY CALL ME TATER SALAD"--Ron White You Can't Fix Stupid.
