Yes, I think that was from the director Don Bluth (he did Titan A:E). Despite actually showing quality animation, his animated films seemed to lack that effortlessly endearing quality Disney had.

Aside from The Secret of NIMH, An American Tail, and The Land Before Time, I would have to agree.

The animation version, Chipmunk Adventure, was just I don't know, but just blarg.

I remember seeing a Disney movie as a kid. Thought it was awesome. Seeing it as an adult...not so much. ;D

I love still love the beginning of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang but I get bored once they go to the Bulgarian Town where children aren't allowed.
