Subject: What does "Groovy" mean?

Written By: Sweet Illest Baby on 10/15/08 at 11:17 pm

It's a word used a lot in the 60s and 70s (as slang for "cool"), and used to describe the feeling and culture of those decades, particulary 1965 to '75.

I'm not exactly sure what it means, or if it even means anything in particular. Hippies are groovy, lava lamps are groovy, it's almost like groovy is just something certain things are, but don't necessarily have anything in common with each other aside from bringing a similar feeling of an era and attitude.
