That's the line i heard tonight.  I come home, put on some tunes and get to work on a little project of mine.  the hubby comes home and is amazed.  why isn't the TV on?


I recall inmy youth never having the TV on until after 5 or 6 for family, and at about 3 for cartoons...and i guess  Saturday morning. 
As a teen I had it on all the time.

I listen to music often or at least have some quiet.

Not at the moment. 

I don't put the tv on for background noise I usually put on the radio or maybe the CD player.  Until a couple of weeks ago we only had a radio so I keep forgetting I can listen to my CDs again!

i play t.v. a lot but i usually have it on in the background, it just keeps me company. but now the t.v. is usually in the other room so i only watch it for a few minutes each night before i go to bed. (which is part of the reason it took me like 5 days to watch "this dream is ours.") now i play freaky youtube videos or listen to music to keep me company. maybe someday there will be a girl to fulfill that function.  :P

as you might have guessed my TV is ALWAYS on.... well except when I am at work...

I watch everything. and I even have it on when I sleep....

I think its funny when I go into the other room and turn on that tv. I end up watching two different shows sometimes just going back and forth from room to room....

sometimes in the morning when I wake up I'll think I had a dream and then rewind the DVR and find out that what I thought was a dream was actually the plot of some show that was on so I guess I listen in my sleep too...

My TV is always on as well.  In my room where the computer is, I have a TV.  In my living room, I have a TV.  Even at work, I watch TV in the lunch room

My telly is on possibly 1/4 of the day whether I am watching it, playing DVDs or my computer games.

yes, much like with children, you turn on the tv and its as good as having a babysitter! ;D

Due to the appaling state of daytime television, the television is not hardly on during the day.

I usually keep the TV on because I like background noise.

I find that there is little new and interesting on TV.  i used ot like the background noise, but it si'nt even interesting inough for that.  now i opt for music; i also like spoken word so...that's at least people talking.

i never mean to insult.  rock on, all you tv fans. i've had over 40 years of it.  i :)

Am I the only person alive who doesn't have a TV?  I have a computer with internet access and a DVD player.  IS there a reason why I need a TV?

   As a kid the TV was on as much as I could get away with.  'Toons after school and weekends.  Never in the morning before school.  Pickins were pretty slim - not much variety with less than 13 channels...

   Now, much of the time (gf watches mucho TV).  Me, occasionally and mostly TV Land or news...

I put music on and unwind. Meanwhile my DVR records the shows I like, then watch them when I have time.

We all have TVs in our rooms, but hardly ever watch anymore. I'd rather watch youtube clips or listen to music. When I was a kid, the TV was always on, and when I go visit my parents, the TV is on so loud I can't hear myself think!

I never used to watch much.. then I decided that I wanted to be able to watch all the sports I wanted and part of the package was a DVR. It's the best invention ever. I watch whatever I want, whenever I want. Mainly sports obviously but I'll record 20 baseball games a week and just watch the bits I want to on a Sunday when I have nothing to do.. or at 3am on a thursday.. or at 7am on a monday morning, it's fantastic!

I am not bothering with the tv today.

Right after I post this, the TV is gonna be turned off. No one is watching it!

I put it on tonight...i'm home alone and a little nervous.  When the dog gets nervous, I do.  The tv noise helps.

We don't subscribe to cable because it's a massive waste of money these days.  Our TV is a monitor to watch DVDs and play video games on. XD  If I need background noise, I either pop in a DVD or turn some music on.  Most TV shows irritate me, and commercials flat out piss me off, haha.
