What is your favorite kiss from a movie?  I have given it a lot of thought, and I think that my all-time favorite kiss scene has to be from the 80's movie, "Some Kind Of Wonderful". For those of you who have never seen this movie (you definitely should ;)), it is basically about a guy who is from the "wrong side of the tracks", who happens to be in love with a girl from the popular crowd. In the meantime, he is best friends with this tomboy type of girl, who secretly loves him, but doesn't want to tell him because she thinks that he doesn't feel the same and that it would affect their friendship.

So, setting up for the kiss scene. Keith (Eric Stoltz) has scored a date with this popular girl, Amanda (Lea Thompson)...and he and Watts (Mary Stuart Masterson) are discussing it. She brings up the question, "what happens if she wants you to kiss her?" (knowing that Keith has not had that kind of experience with women, she takes advantage of the situation, by offering him her "help" and "practice" with kissing). It follows with an intense kiss (from both parts). Everytime I watch this scene..I get chills.

The other one I was thinking of was Mr & Mrs Smith... it doesn't matter where you stand on the whole Jenn, Brad, & Angie thing...they had chemistry it showed in that first kiss...

The New Years Eve kiss between Amanda Pete and Ashton Kutcher in A Lot Like Love. Also, the kiss in the rain between Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams in The Notebook.

What about from Happy Gilmore, when he and Virginia are on their first date of sorts, even if just "as friends". They're playing hockey at the arena when it's closed and getting to know each other. He has "Endless Love" playing over the soundsystem, when he casually goes, "What? Friends listen to Endless Love in the dark!" and tells her if she misses, she'll have to kiss him...but if she gets the puck into the net, he'll never bother her about it again.

Well, you can sorta tell by this point she likes him and that his personality is rubbing off on her, because she gets it in, and says "I didn't see it go in", and they kiss for the first time. Old-school Adam Sandler reminds me so much of myself in alot of ways, and it was just in general was such a sweet scene, because up until that point, she viewed him as something of a rebellious bad boy.

Exactly, I think it's more of the anticipation before the kiss, than the actual kiss sometimes. That scene really sold me on the film. It felt very genuine and you could really see the chemistry between the two.

Ahhh....Adam Sandler.... I do like him ...and I like him best when he plays opposite Drew Barrymore. 
In "50 Last Kisses", a film I loved...there were many, many outstanding kisses.  But the classic kiss was in "The Wedding Singer" on the plane when Adam turns to Billy Idol, who is talking about a record contract...and says something like..."Errr, Billy, do you mind if I kiss the girl I love" or something.  I think Drew's enthusiasm is what makes them click! 8)

she is sexy and whatnot. i think the kiss is supposed to be like that, not third grade though, maybe 6th  ;) 
since he knew her as a kid and now she's a little bit more grown up. It's a great scene, the older guy trying to get away before she recognizes him, and then the young fox jumps off the stage like a predator to get to him. yeah, that works for me.

Michael Pare and Diane Lane at the end of the movie *Streets Of Fire*  it's not real deep or long or too wet, but it's meaningful with a little bit of pain because it's a farewell kiss, plus the background music of The Sorels-I Can Dream About You  is excellent.

the video is 4:03 minutes long and their kiss is at the end, but this is an enjoyable movie, it's worth it.  I recommend watching the movie.
