I just got back from seeing Morrissey in Merriville, Indiana!! This is only the second concert I've ever been to. The first was Madonna on her Confessions tour in June 2006.

Music-wise, the only artist(s) I ever saw perform live, was at a waterfront festival circa 2002 (i believe). The first was some all-girl pop-punk group called Tuuli (who ended up fading out of the Canadian charts fast), and the second was Snow (remember him?)
Snow's performance was great. At the time, he had just released a comeback album that brought him major success with two songs called 'Everybody Wants to Be Like You' and 'The Plumb Song', and when he sang those, the crowd went crazy. Then he sang 'Informer', and the crowd screamed so loud, you could hardly hear him sing LOL

I would go to more concerts, but they're just so expensive :-\\...Actually, I only paid 50 dollars for my Morrissey ticket, and my seat wasn't too bad. But I don't have a job, and no steady income. All my money comes from savings of whatever my parents might give me, or from sporadically selling things on ebay. So spending 50 dollars on something is a big deal for me.
I need a job, I know.

I'm guessing that since you went to all these great concerts from the 70's that Hanson had something to do with the kids?

Actually, I've seen most of these in the last 5 years, and I have no children. I'm just 25 years old. ;D I actually saw Hanson with my best friend when I was 16 (1998). She really wanted to go.

It's okay, no need to be sorry ;) I just like seeing the older bands a lot. I feel that they're the ones to see because they may stop performing sooner or later and I may never get to see them at all!
It's hard to get to concerts - they're pricey! I understand that totally. I had to see Paul McCartney with a magnifying glass, practically, just because I wasn't willing to pay a lot for a good seat. ;D But, I'll admit, that place was rockin' !
I wanted to see Billy Joel (who's performing in Oakland next month), but again, way too much money! I may still go - maybe even by myself, lol
Well, Chicago and America were doing a tour together this last summer. I actually saw that free because someone gave my Aunt tickets because they couldn't make it and she invited me and my boyfriend to come a long!

Not trying to be boastful but I have truely been to so many concerts I'd take up a whole page on here. Back in the late 80's it was all I did really, and I also wrote for a local music paper so I went to 2 or 3 smaller gigs every week.
Pretty much all rock music, so the likes of;
Aerosmith
Bon Jovi
Guns and Roses
Dan Reed
Quireboys
Metallica
Anthrax
Def Lepard
Danger Danger
My first big gig was Tears for Fears in 1983
Now I go for quality over quantity so this year I have seen
Bowling for Soup twice, Gary Numan, Electric Six and Hayseed Dixie.

I think we had a very similar thread to this, which led me to call my bro Pete and figure out who we've actually been to see. Anyway, long story short we worked out that we'd each spent around the equivilant of $6000 on concert tickets. Of course, some of that comes from dropping over $100 on several concerts.
Anyway, that I can distinctly remember -
Metallica
Guns n Roses
Iron Maiden
In Flames
Anthrax
Megadeth
Overkill
Slayer
Arch Enemy
Van Halen (w/ Sammy, not with Dave, but I'm working the Van Halen gig on the 30th of March with Dave.)
Suicidal tendencies
Sepultura
Motorhead
Dream Theatre
Iced Earth
Cannibal Corpse
Black Label Society
Black Sabbath
Deep Purple
Nirvana (One of the worst gigs I've been to, just awful acoustics)
Korn
Motley Crue (possibly the most fun I've ever had at a show)
Rush
so on and so forth.
I've seen quite a few of those bands a number of times. I've seen Motorhead over 40 times (but then again, I did go on tour with them ;))
A couple of bands I've never seen and probably will never get to see - Pantera and Judas Priest. Obviously I'll never see Pantera and I can't imagine any large scale Judas Priest tour to be honest.

My 1st concert was in 1993.
I had just been introduced to Traffic, and it was their 1st tour in about 30 yrs., promoting their newest LP.
Awesome concert.
I was supposed to see Peter Gabriel for my HS graduation, but they had sold out 3 months in advance. :\'( :\'( :\'(
I saw AC/DC on their "Ballbreaker' tour, in 1996. Beavis & Butt-head opened for them. Hugh-larry-ass!
I saw my all-time favorite band, The Tubes, in 2002. I will be seiing them again on Halloween.
"WHite Punks On Dope! (White Dopes On Punk!)"
