Damn, that's some list!
I worked out that me and my bro have spent more on concert tickets than everybody we know put together.. well, everybody that was out with us that evening. Thousands of Pounds and dollars.
This is going to occupy me for a while, good idea.
One thing I have to mention is this - Before you assume I'm either the richest man ever, or incredibly stupid, or a combination of the two, remember, probably 85-90% of the bands listed, I have seen at festivals. So instead of going to 20 different gigs, assume I just camped, spent 50 Pounds/dollars on my ticket and went from stage to stage for three days. I usually go to 2-4 festivals a year. ;)
Alice In Chains
Anthrax
Apocalyptica
Arch Enemy
Audioslave
Biffy Clyro
Billy Idol
Black Sabbath
Black Label Society
Canninal Corpse
Carcass
Cephalic Carnage

Those are the bands I can think of, what's funny, is that your list and mine have quite a few similarities, there's some bands on yours I'd love to see and I'm sure vice versa.

The closest I ever came to seeing a concert was in 1983 when Mr. Dressup came to my town while he was on his "Tickle Trunk Tour" ;D
For those who probably won't know, Mr. Dressup (real name Ernie Combs) was a popular Children's entertainer in Canada who's self-titled show on CBC ran from 1967-1996

You got that right, I would love to have seen Evanescence, Lacuna Coil, Lamb of god, System Of A Down and Dropkick Murphys.
Other bands I had tickets to but couldn't go are: Metallica, Iron Maiden, AC-DC, Queensryche and Ted Nugent.
I don't go to concerts anymore, I've retired from the crowds, but I think I might have to add one more to my list;
"Nightwish" is coming this fall and I would really like to see them.

Never seen Queensryche would have loved to.
I think.. after doing a quick mental calculation.. I've seen Metallica a total of 8 times! :o
Let's see -
Milton Keynes x2, Paris, Dallas, St. Louis x2, Chicago and London.

Metallica put on a free show here in Philly a few years back and I was unable to go . >:( So they will remain one
band I never got the chance to see.
I've seen Greg Kihn more than anyone else, over 10 times, simply because he opened for so many bands.
In the late 70's it seemed like Greg Kihn and Sammy Hagar were the only opening acts.
I did see Judas Priest as an opening act for Kiss, and Van Halen as an opening act for Black Sabbath (last tour with Ozzy)
I knew this would happen, I have to add Living Colour to my list, they opened for the Stones.

I don't like concerts very much, so I haven't been to that many. I've seen:
Lenny Kravitz
Poe
The Grateful Dead
The Violent Femmes
Tori Amos
Prince
Aerosmith
Tribute
Our Lady Peace
And one festival that featured AFI, Stained, Alien Ant Farm, and a few others that I can't remember. This was in like 2002.

Jason, with your vast musical knowledge, you never once saw a live performance. No Fairs, Festivals or promotions?
That I find hard to believe. :o
I know a lot of 80's MTV bands never toured because they couldn't replicate the studio sound that made the songs
popular, other bands were simply afraid to tour. I would have loved to have seen XTC, but after making "English Settlement"
Andy Partridge developed a bad case of stage fright and XTC never toured again.

How was Prince, I've heard he puts on a excellent show. I know he is greatly underrated as a guitarist.
As for Aerosmith, I never had a desire to see them, I like some of their older stuff but it seems that when they went
into rehab they lost lost their ability to be creative.

I saw the Stones 3 times, I am not a fan of live Stones, I put the stones at the bottom of my live performance list.
Mick runs around and is very energetic and the act is ok, but it's just not there musically.

Prince was absolutely fantastic - such a showman. I highly reccommend seeing him if you get the chance - he's worth the crowd.
Aerosmith was actually really great too. I've liked them since I was a kid, and they put on a killer show.
My husband is really into concerts - he has probably seen as many as you have. He has seen Metallica 8 times and has gotten to go back and meet them twice.

Dang, I never have.
I've been out with Motorhead a bunch of times.
I met Dave and we chatted for 20 minutes.
I know Scott Ian fairly well.
Chris Jericho (of Fozzy and Pro-Wrestling fame) likes me but Christian Andreu from Gojira called me a prick. ;D
He's French.. and I tried to ask him a question.. in French, well, my French has suffered monumentally in the past.. oh.. decade.. and thus I ended up basically spouting a load of gibberish, he thought I was making fun of him so he called me a prick.

See you mention backstage, And yeah I'm jealous, I have to add another. I had a chance to take my daughter backstage
to meet Gwen Stefani and the rest of No Doubt but she was too afraid so we didn't. I did, however, meet all three members
of ELP on a few occasions.
I also forgot one of the greatest bands ever, The Monkees, ;D They were at Six flags Great Adventure.

Daaamn, you've seen a lot of good bands. I'm impressed!
Why've you got no love for Cyco Mike? You're not part of the ST army?
You reminded me of a few other bands I've seen - Oasis, Manic Street Preachers and the Stereophonics.

I've been living in Europe for the last 6 years, what else is there to do here in the summer, but go to music festivals? Oh there's the beach and the exciting nightlife and outdoor cafes and free exhibitions and on and on...why did you go back to the US again?
That's the thing Cyco Miko ain't psycho at all. I actually was a fan back then, but live... they were awful :P

I've been to two concerts, both were Aerosmith.
The first was in 1993(opening act was Jackyl), the second was in 1994(opening act was Collective Soul).
At least I think the second one was in 1994. I'll go and check.
Edit: I can't find the second concert, I could've sworn that they played at Deer Creek in 94 too.
