... that the episodes on the Season 1 DVD of 227 are not in order?  The pilot episode titled "Pilot" (which originally aired as episode 6) tells of how Rose became new landlord of the building.  The second part of the episode titled "The Sidewalk Sale" (which originally aired as episode 7) appears as Episode 11.  Episodes in between mention the original landlord, and I kept thinking I missed something cause if the landlord is dead, how can he still be talked about in present tense?

This could be why the Season 1 set sold poorly.  It only makes sense that the episodes should be in the order to which they originally aired, but then again I'm just a consumer, what do I know lol

lol Thanks.  Yeah, I saw the DVD....bought it for my parents back when there was only VHS.  We first heard it on CD, so we could only imagine the faces.  It was great to actually see the routines as well as hear them (plus we could catch all the stuff we missed laughing so hard during the CD).  It was cool (and not at the same time) to recognize the routines and know what line was coming next.

She was in the show's first two seasons before being written out.  The First Season also starred Marissa Tomei, who was also written out after Season 1

In Season 1 of Diff'rent Strokes, character actor Jack Riley played three different characters.  If you remember him in his recurring role as a patient on 'The Bob Newhart Show', then you know his monotone like voice makes him always recognizable.  He played a detective, he played the new lanlord of the building, and he even played the head master in the Facts of Life episode LOL

On the Dick Van Dyke show Laura Petrie's maiden name has been given as Meehan and Meeker
also in season one Dick called her Laurie/lori  not sure if this was name change in later seasons or if in season one it was just his familiar nick name for her....it's always annoyed me tho.  especially in later eps when they have flashbacks to their lives before the show actually started and he's calling her Laura in flashbacks.  what he just called her laurie for 6 months of their lives together but before that he called her laura and after that he called her laura? 

Did you know that plot holes in later TV episodes provide much confusion for earlier episodes ...

In the episode of the sitcom 'Yes, Dear' where Jimmy's best friend Billy Colovita first shows up, Greg meets him for the first time.  However, in a later episode where it flashes back 14 years ago when Jimmy met Greg, Billy was there.  In another episode where it flashes back to Jimmy and Christine's wedding, Greg was a guest, and Billy was the best man.


In the episode of Friends where they are watching a flashback tape and we first see Monica when she was fat, Chandler looks disgusted like he's never seen her fat before.  For those of you who watched Friends know that not only did Chandler know Monica when she was fat, but his smart alec remarks about her weight was the reason she became thin.
