Subject: 1940s vs 1990s
Written By: robby76 on 04/14/07 at 12:24 am
I came across these lists in a school textbook, and thought they were worth sharing. These are lists of the top 7 problems reported in US schools in the 1940s and the 1990s. I wonder where we'll be in 2040?
1940s:
1) Talking out of turn
2) Chewing gum
3) Making noise
4) Running in the halls
5) Cutting in line
6) Dress code infractions
7) Littering
1990s
1) Drug abuse
2) Alcohol abuse
3) Pregnancy
4) Suicide
5) Rape
6) Robbery
7) Assault

Man, that's quite a change :o
I bet in 2040, it will be pretty much the same as the 90s and today. How much worse can it really get? lol

You had to ask. If only my time traveller had brought back a set of stock quotations. Instead, all I got was this:
2040s:
1) Memory enhancer abuse
2) Copyright infringement
3) Release of stupidity-enhancing retrovirals on exam day
4) Hacking disciplinary database
5) Unauthorized use of racial epithets
6) Credit fraud
7) Tax evasion on income earned from selling videos of the hot teacher getting it on with her students
