Subject: Most Underrated Actor
Written By: Snoopygirl on 01/08/07 at 9:22 pm
Who do you think is an underrated actor?
I vote for Tim Matheson. I think he is a great actor and if you look at all the movies he's done, he's never won an award for anything. I know he's done feature films but he's also done alot of tv movies, but I think he should be recognized as a good actor.
If he has won any awards, let me know. I might of missed it.

The great British actor Steven Berkoff. He is the UK answer to Christopher Walken. You may have seen him in Octopussy, Beverly Hills Cop, Rambo: First Blood Part II, Fair Game .. among others and he always plays the villain. He's never won an award for acting

I've always been a fan of Ray Liotta and wondered why I don't see more of him. I'd certainly like to! :D

David Warner. I'm sure most of you are thinking, "Who?" He has been on several Star Trek episodes (including a few of the movies), Titanitc, and several hundred other parts.

I'm sure everyone can say, "I remember him from _____". The first thing I remember seeing him in was a movie called Time After Time where he played Jack the Ripper to Malcolm McDonald's H.G. Wells. I think he is an outstanding actor but very few people know his name.

For me, it's a 3-Way tie, between:
Hugo Weaving (Elrond, "Lord Of the Rings")
John Leguizamo (Chi Chi, "To Wong Foo")
-and-
Jeffrey Combs (best known for his role as 'Weyoun' in "Star Trek: DS9")

Actor James Read. He played in Remington Steele. He played George Hazard in all of the North and South miniseries. He also starred in the short lived series "Shell Games". Oh and he also plays Reese Witherspoons dad in Legally Blondie. :)

Jeffrey Combs is really good in Re-Animator.
Jeffrey Combs has been a key actor in several H.P.Lovecraftian films.
Director Brian Yuzna seems to use him as a "staple" actor, even to the point of casting Combs as Lovecraft himself, in Necronomicon.
However, Jeffrey Combs was also in "The Frighteners" with Michael J. Fox- he played the Special Agent with severe hemorrhoids.

Michael Moriarity; a versatile actor who rarely gets credit for being so.
