WKRP? (check)
Newhart? (check)
Wings? (check)
Still Standing? (hmmmm, not sure  ??? )

For a Canuck you're all right. Great picks, but I'm not sure about the last one. I've seen parts of it and I remember the lead actress from when she was in a Seinfeld episode (phone sex with Kramer?), but since you made excellent picks for the other decades I'll have to give it a serious look now.

And I really don't think sitcoms on television now are anywhere near as good as in previous decades, but I could be wrong.

Yes, that's Jami Gertz.  She plays the mom, and Mark Addy (Flintstones: Viva Rock Vegas, A Knights Tale, Down to Earth) plays the dad.  The way they were always making jokes about their geeky son was hilarious ;D

It's now been cancelled, but reruns can be seen on Lifetime and local Fox networks

i'ma have to go with space: 1999 for the seventies. i also loves me some hello larry, although when it was actually in first run i had no idea it existed.

i got nothing for the 80s, probably cheers or family ties. or oo! the remake of the twilight zone.

the 90s were actually pretty good for t.v. obviously i'm loving some mst3k.

2000s, probably dead like me or freaks and geeks. also, firefly. and peepshow. lots of good shows lately. it's sorta like a golden age for t.v. these days, although the good shows get canceled fast. least they get made.

Did anyone here enjoy HBO's short lived "Carnivale"..?

  I ate it up...

But it was more like an appetizer than a main course.  Well, maybe the first of four courses with no brandy and cigar in the reading room afterwards...
